Non-escaping frost tolerant QTL linked genetic loci at reproductive stage in six wheat DH populations

چکیده

Reproductive stage frost poses a major constraint for wheat production in countries such as Australia. However, little progress has been made identifying key genes to overcome the constraint. In present study, severe event hit two large-scale field trials consisting of six doubled haploid (DH) populations at reproductive (young microspore stage) Western Australia, leading identification 30 robust QTL on 17 chromosomes. The 18 with phenotype variation over 9.5% were located 13 chromosomes including 2A, 2B, 2D, 3A, 4A, 4B, 4D, 5A, 5D, 6D, 7A, 7B and 7D. Most closely linked anthesis, maturity, Zadok stages well anthesis related genes. Out those, repetitively detected homologous regions 7A more than populations. Results showed that damage is associated alleles Vrn-A1a, Vrn-D1a, Rht-B1b, Rht-D1b, high copy number Ppd-B1. Vrn-B1a TaFT3-1B 5B 1B did not lead damage, indicating these early-flowering are compatible tolerance thus can be utilised breeding. Our results also indicate wild-type Rht-B1a Rht-D1a used when breeding frost-tolerant varieties without delaying flowering time.

A QTL linkage map of safflower for yield under drought stress at reproductive stage

This study reports QTL mapping for seed yield and its components in safflower genome under drought stress. The F3 families derived from the cross Mex.22-191 (tolerant) × IL.111 (sensitive) were evaluated for agronomic traits in safflower. Drought tolerance was evaluated during 10% of the flowering stage. To identify QTLs underlying tolerance to drought, mapping quantitative trait loci (QTLs) w...

Genetic Structure of Salinity Tolerance in Rice at Seedling Stage

The Oryza sativa L. F8 population derived from a cross between salt tolerance cv. Ahlemi Tarom and salt sensitive cv. Neda was used in the study. Germinated seeds floated on water for 3 d, and after were transferred to float on Yoshida's nutrient solution for 11 d. two weeks after sowing, the seedling was transferred to nutrient solution containing 51.19 mM NaCl (electrical conductivity 6 dSm-1...

Genetic diversity of Iranian rice recombinant inbred lines at the reproductive stage in normal conditions and salinity

Salinity is an important limiting factor in the production of more plants, including rice. Due to the limited amount of cultivated area, identification of tolerant genotypes to environmental stresses and especially salinity is very important. The aim of this study was to investigate the genetic diversity among 114 recombinant lines derived from the intersection of local Tarom × Khazar cultivars...
